We’d hate to miss out on all of the photos of YOU, having fun, dancing, etc. at our cocktail hour and reception (or even before and after the wedding day). Thus, we would love to have you contribute to our wedding day by posting and submitting your photos via the apps below using the hashtag #JPWed15. We can’t wait to see our big day through your eyes – so have fun, take lots of pictures, and post messages and comments! Please consider using WedPics (Wedding ID: JPWed15) to share your pictures, so we don’t miss a single moment on our big day!
WedPics has an app for iPhone and Android that will easily let you take photos and upload them to our online album automatically. Sign in using the Wedding ID: “JPWed15” and then create a user account.
Taking and sharing pictures is fairly straight-forward. See the video below:
1) Select the Album you want to add pictures to using the drop-down.
2) Once the desired album is selected, touch the “Upload” icon toward the center of the bottom of the screen to take a picture / video.
3a) Edit the picture (if you want), you can even apply filters
3b) Caption and then upload the picture
3) Post the picture
4) Leave a note on and “Love” other peoples photos!
Frantically Anticipated Questions:
Q: Do I have to wait until October 10, 2015 to download and use this app?
A: No way, Jose! Download the app now and take pictures on your trip out to Woodridge and Naperville, Illinois! We even created a special album just for that: “Guest Road Trip!” There’s also a “Memory Lane” album if you have any pictures you want to share now, maybe from that camping trip we went on last year.
Q: Do I get a copy of the pictures?
A: Yup, for all the picture you take a local copy is also saved on your device. You will also be able to browse, in real time, photos our other wedding attendees have uploaded. You can “like” them and comment on them too!
Q: What if I don’t have a phone that can run WedPics?
A: Don’t sweat it. If you don’t have an iPhone or Android, log on to WedPics.com (Wedding ID: JPWed15) when you get home to upload and share your photos with us!
Q: What if I want to post on Twitter?
A: Just use #JPWed15
Q: What happens if I take pictures using WedPics on the road trip but I don’t have a cell phone signal?
A: WedPic will save the pictures and wait for you to get back into reception range. Once it has data access, it will automatically upload any photos taken while you were offline!
Q: What if I normally post using Instagram?
A: WedPics will also let you upload pictures that you take in other programs, like Instagram (#JPWed15) or AfterLight. In the WedPics Camera pane, tap the “Photo Library” icon (bottom left), then choose one or more photos to upload! You can also add hashtag #JPWed15 to your posts, and the photos will be automatically added to a different app (Capsule for us). (NOTE: in order for your tagged Instagram photos to show in the Capsule, your Instagram must NOT be set to “private.” Also note that it may take up to 30 minutes for photos to appear in Capsule via this method.)

You can use Twitter or Instagram to post with the hash tag #JPWed15.

1. Download and use the Capsule Cam app for Android OR iPhone, and enter the join code “JPWed15“.
2. If you’re a regular Instagram user, just continue doing your thing. Add hashtag #JPWed15 to your posts, and the photos will be automatically added. (fair warning: it may take up to 30 minutes for photos to appear in Capsule via this method. Also note that in order for your tagged Instagram photos to show in the Capsule, your Instagram must NOT be set to “private.”)
3. Using a digital camera? After the event you can go to http://trycapsule.com/JPWed15 and upload your photos!
